Muncie Man Arrested After Forcing Entry into Residence and Stealing SUV

MUNCIE, Indiana — A local man has been taken into custody and charged after allegedly forcing his way into a Muncie home and fleeing the scene in the resident's sport utility vehicle.

According to charging documents filed by the Delaware County Prosecutor's Office, the suspect arrived at the residence on October 2, 2025, and breached the entryway. The homeowner, who was present at the time, was confronted by the intruder. Following a brief altercation, the suspect demanded the keys to the victim's SUV before driving away from the property.

Muncie Police Department officers quickly dispatched units to the area and spotted the stolen vehicle a short distance away. After a brief pursuit, officers successfully stopped the vehicle and apprehended the suspect without further incident. He now faces multiple felony charges, including residential entry, robbery, and auto theft, and is currently held at the Delaware County Jail.
