ATF Announces $5,000 Reward Following Commercial Break-in at Muncie Rural King Store

MUNCIE, Indiana — Federal investigators have stepped in to assist local police following a commercial break-in at the Rural King retail store in Muncie. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification and conviction of the individuals responsible.

The burglary occurred in the early morning hours of February 26, 2025. According to investigators, suspect(s) breached the exterior of the building and targeted specific areas within the store. ATF involvement typically indicates that the incident involved the theft or attempted theft of firearms, ammunition, or explosives, which pose a significant public safety threat.

Authorities have released security images of the suspects and are urging anyone with information, no matter how minor it may seem, to contact the ATF or the Muncie Police Department.
