Naperville Police Search for Suspect in Armed Robbery and Commercial Burglary

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for a commercial burglary and an armed robbery in the downtown area. The suspect remains at large, and investigators are hoping that surveillance images or community tips will help locate the individual.

The initial incident occurred on July 19, 2024, when a local business was robbed at gunpoint, prompting an immediate police response. While officers searched the area, the suspect managed to evade custody. Subsequently, police linked the suspect to a separate burglary incident in the downtown district, indicating a potential pattern of targeting commercial properties in the high-traffic shopping corridor.

Law enforcement officials have released descriptions and security camera footage of the suspect in hopes of receiving tips from residents. Community members who may have been in the area at the time or who recognize the individual are urged to contact the Naperville Police Investigations Division.
