Multiple Suspects Charged in Brazen $34K Crash-and-Grab at Naperville Apple Store
A brazen, dramatic crash-and-grab burglary at the Apple Store in downtown Naperville has resulted in charges against multiple individuals. The crime, which took place in November 2023, involved suspects driving a vehicle through the store's front entrance to gain entry and make off with tens of thousands of dollars in high-end electronics.
According to police statements and court filings released in April 2024, three suspectsโtwo men and one juvenileโwere charged in connection with the heist, which resulted in the theft of approximately $34,000 worth of iPhones, iPads, and other devices. The impact caused significant structural damage to the store's glass facade and entryway.
The investigation continued to expand, leading to additional arrests. In January 2026, an Arizona man was also arrested and charged in connection with the conspiracy and transportation of the stolen Apple merchandise. Naperville Police Chief Jason Arres praised the collaboration between local officers, regional task forces, and out-of-state law enforcement agencies that made the arrests possible, reaffirming the city's commitment to holding retail theft rings accountable.
