East Nashville 7-Eleven Robbery Victim Encourages Public to Stay Alert

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — A victim of a recent robbery outside an East Nashville 7-Eleven is sharing his story to raise awareness and encourage fellow residents to exercise extra caution in public spaces.

The incident occurred on May 12, 2024, near a 7-Eleven convenience store in the East Nashville area. According to the victim, he was approached by an individual who demanded his personal belongings. The suspect fled the scene shortly after the confrontation.

While physically uninjured, the victim expressed concern over the rising trend of opportunistic crimes in the area. "It happens in the blink of an eye," he stated. "I want to remind everyone to keep their heads up, avoid looking at their phones when walking alone, and stay in well-lit areas."

Metro Nashville Police are investigating the incident and reviewing surveillance camera footage from the store. They advise residents to report any suspicious activity immediately and to prioritize their safety during such encounters by complying with demands and seeking help as soon as possible.
