East Nashville Bike Shop Seeks Help to Recover $20,000 in Equipment Stolen Over Holidays

NASHVILLE, Tennessee โ€” A beloved bicycle shop located in the vicinity of Shelby Park in East Nashville is reaching out to the public for help after a major theft over the holiday season left them with a loss of approximately $20,000 in equipment.

According to the shop owners, the break-in occurred while the store was closed for the holidays. The perpetrators managed to bypass security measures and targeted high-end bicycles, specialized parts, and expensive gear. The loss represents a significant blow to the local small business, which has served the Nashville cycling community for years.

"It's devastating to come back after the holidays and find our space violated and so much of our hard work taken," the shop management shared in a statement. "We're asking anyone who lives in the Shelby Park area or who might have seen suspicious activity around that time to contact police."

Metro Nashville Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses and residential cameras. Community members are encouraged to keep an eye out for high-end bikes listed for sale online at unusually low prices. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or the Metro Nashville Police Department.
