Three Teenagers Arrested After Nashville Gun Store Burglary and Helicopter Gunfire

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Three teenagers are in custody following a daring gun store burglary that triggered a high-speed police pursuit and led to shots being fired at a law enforcement helicopter on Friday.

The incident began when the suspects forced entry into a local firearms dealership in Nashville. After stealing several weapons, the suspects fled in a vehicle, which was quickly spotted by Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) officers. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the suspect vehicle sped off, initiating a dangerous chase through local streets.

As ground units pursued, the MNPD Air Support Unit took to the skies to track the vehicle. During the chase, the suspects fired multiple rounds at the police helicopter. Despite the gunfire, the flight crew remained unharmed and continued tracking the suspects. The pursuit concluded when the vehicle came to a stop and the occupants attempted to flee on foot. Officers quickly established a perimeter and apprehended all three teenagers without further incident.
