East Nashville Hemp and Vape Shop Targeted in Smash-and-Grab Burglary

EAST NASHVILLE, TN — Authorities are searching for suspects after a hemp and vape specialty shop was burglarized in East Nashville early in the morning of January 2, 2025. The perpetrators utilized a destructive smash-and-grab technique to gain entry into the storefront.

Destructive Entry in the Early Hours

According to Metro Nashville Police reports, the incident occurred during the early morning hours when the business was closed. Surveillance footage captured the moments when the suspects shattered the main glass storefront entrance using a heavy blunt object. Once the glass was breached, the thieves entered the retail space and quickly began clearing shelves and display cases.

Inventory Targeted and Stolen

The business owner reported that a significant amount of inventory was taken during the brief intrusion. The stolen merchandise includes premium vape products, CBD supplements, and assorted hemp-derived goods. The total monetary loss from both the stolen items and the physical damage to the property is estimated to be in the thousands of dollars. The suspects fled the scene before law enforcement arrived in response to the store's silent alarm.

East Nashville business owners have expressed growing concern over recent commercial break-ins. Police are examining security footage from neighboring properties to identify the suspects and any getaway vehicles involved.
