NEWARK, DE โ€” Delaware state authorities have apprehended a suspect following a violent attempted robbery and stabbing at an IHOP restaurant in Newark. The suspect, identified as Andrew Ford, is facing multiple felony charges related to the incident in New Castle County.

The violent altercation occurred inside the popular dining establishment when Ford allegedly attempted to rob the venue. During the encounter, a victim was stabbed and suffered injuries. Police responded rapidly to emergency calls and managed to secure the scene, ensuring the victim received immediate medical attention.
