Newark Police Launch Active Search for Suspect in Attempted Residential Burglary

NEWARK, DE — The Newark Police Department has initiated an intensive investigation and is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a male suspect wanted in connection with an attempted residential burglary. The incident occurred on the morning of June 3, 2026, in a quiet suburban neighborhood in Newark, Delaware, causing concern among local residents.

According to official police reports, the suspect approached a private residence and made active attempts to breach the entryway. Fortunately, the entry attempt was unsuccessful, and no entry was gained to the home. The suspect fled the scene on foot before law enforcement arrived.
