Armed ATM Robbery Near Rutgers Medical Campus Triggers Community Safety Alert in Newark

NEWARK, NJ — A broad-daylight armed robbery near the Rutgers Medical Campus has prompted law enforcement and campus officials to issue a safety alert to the Newark community, warning students and residents to remain vigilant.

The victim was reportedly approached by an armed suspect who brandished a weapon and demanded cash. The suspect fled the area immediately after the confrontation, leaving the victim shaken but physically uninjured.
