A string of commercial burglaries over the weekend has left the Uptown New Orleans business community on edge and calling for a stronger security presence. The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) has launched an investigation into the break-ins, which targeted three local businesses.

According to the NOPD, the incidents occurred between Saturday night and early Sunday morning. The perpetrators forced entry into the establishments, causing property damage and stealing merchandise and cash. Investigators are reviewing security footage from the affected shops and neighboring properties in an effort to identify the individuals involved.

The sudden crime spike has sparked frustration among local merchants, who feel increasingly vulnerable.
