NOPD Seeks Suspect in Hotel Room Assault and Pistol-Whipping

NEW ORLEANS, LA — A manhunt is underway in New Orleans after a violent assault inside a hotel room left two people injured. The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is actively seeking a male suspect in connection with the incident, which occurred on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

According to police investigators, the suspect gained entry to a hotel room where he confronted two occupants. He allegedly brandished a handgun and held both individuals at gunpoint. During the course of the armed confrontation, the suspect reportedly pistol-whipped both victims, causing physical injuries before fleeing the premises.
