Four Minors Robbed at Gunpoint in New Orleans Central Business District

NEW ORLEANS, LA — Authorities are investigating a troubling incident in the Central Business District of New Orleans, where four minors were targeted and robbed at gunpoint, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

The armed robbery occurred late in the evening when the group of minors was approached by an armed individual. The suspect allegedly brandished a handgun and demanded their personal belongings. Fearing for their safety, the victims complied with the assailant's demands, handing over cellphones, wallets, and other personal items. The suspect then fled the scene on foot before officers arrived.

No physical injuries were reported among the minors, but the experience has left the victims shaken. NOPD Eighth District detectives are leading the investigation, examining surveillance feeds from municipal cameras and private security systems in the vicinity of the CBD to trace the suspect’s escape path.
