Man Sought by NYPD in Connection with Violent NYC Robbery and Pepper-Spray Attack

NEW YORK CITY โ€” Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a violent robbery and pepper-spray assault that took place in New York City.

According to the New York City Police Department (NYPD), the incident occurred when an unidentified male entered a commercial establishment and confronted a victim. The encounter escalated quickly when the suspect brandished and deployed pepper spray, temporarily incapacitating the victim before fleeing the scene with undisclosed merchandise and personal property.

Emergency medical services responded to the scene to treat the victim for exposure to the chemical irritant. The NYPD has released surveillance images of the suspect, describing him as a male of medium build, last seen wearing dark clothing and a hood. Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
