Armed Suspect Sought in Gunpoint Robbery of Briarwood Cell Phone Store

QUEENS, NY โ€” Law enforcement officials are searching for a suspect who committed an armed robbery at a cell phone retail store in the Briarwood section of Queens, threatening employees with a firearm.

The robbery took place on November 13, 2025. According to the NYPD, the unidentified suspect entered the retail store and brandished a handgun, demanding inventory and cash from the store staff. The employees complied with the demands, and the suspect fled the location with multiple mobile devices and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the encounter. Detectives are reviewing security footage from the store and surrounding commercial strips in Briarwood to identify the perpetrator. The suspect is described as a male, and the NYPD has released a description to aid in his capture.

The NYPD requests that anyone with information regarding this armed robbery contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted online, and all information will be kept strictly confidential.
