Distinctively Dressed Suspect Busted in NYC Denim Store Break-in

NEW YORK CITY โ€” In a break-in described by officials as far from genius, a suspect wearing a bizarre, eye-catching costume was arrested shortly after burglarizing a premium denim store in New York City.

According to police reports from October 2024, the suspect gained unauthorized entry into the retail store during the early hours of the morning, aiming to steal high-end designer jeans. However, the choice of attireโ€”described by responding officers as a highly conspicuous and "wild looking" getupโ€”made it exceptionally easy for NYPD officers patrolling the neighborhood to spot and apprehend the suspect near the scene of the crime.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and the stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to the store. The individual faces charges of commercial burglary, criminal trespass, and possession of stolen property.
