Suspect Arrested in Maryland Following High-Profile NYC Gucci Store Robbery

NEW YORK CITY, NY — A multi-state investigation has led to the arrest of a 24-year-old woman in Maryland, who is facing charges related to an assault as well as being wanted in connection with a major robbery at a Gucci store in New York City.

The heist, which took place at the luxury brand's retail location in Manhattan, involved suspects who fled with thousands of dollars worth of designer clothing and accessories. NYPD detectives tracked the suspect's movements across state lines, coordinating with Maryland local authorities.

The suspect was taken into custody following a separate assault incident in Maryland. Extradition proceedings are expected to begin soon to bring the suspect back to New York to face robbery and grand larceny charges. Investigators continue to seek additional suspects involved in the retail theft.
