Elderly 99-Year-Old Man Assaulted and Robbed of $20,000 in Violent NYC Home Invasion

NEW YORK CITY — A community is in shock following a brutal home invasion on September 25, 2025, that targeted one of the city's oldest residents. A 99-year-old man was physically assaulted inside his New York City home by armed intruders who subsequently stole $20,000 in cash before fleeing the scene.

According to the New York City Police Department, the suspects forced their way into the elderly victim's residence. Once inside, they confronted the senior citizen, using physical force to incapacitate him while demanding to know where he kept his valuables. The victim sustained injuries during the confrontation but survived the traumatic ordeal.

The robbers ransacked the home and located a cash reserve totaling approximately $20,000. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after the suspects fled, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation and treatment of his physical injuries.
