Man Arrested for Robbing North Charleston Business Over Tacos

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — A North Charleston man is facing robbery charges after an unusual heist targeting food from a local business, police reported.

The North Charleston Police Department responded to a call regarding a robbery at a local eatery. Investigators learned that a male suspect entered the business and forcefully demanded tacos from the staff. According to reports, the individual threatened employees before taking the food and fleeing the premises. No weapons were reported, but the aggressive behavior and threats satisfied the legal criteria for a robbery charge.

Officers patrolling the vicinity located the suspect shortly after the incident took place. He was taken into custody without incident, and the stolen food item was recovered.
