Norwalk Business Owner Shoots and Kills Attempted Burglary Suspect During Break-In

NORWALK, CT — An attempted commercial burglary turned fatal in Norwalk after a business owner confronted and shot an intruder on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Local authorities have launched a full investigation into the shooting, which occurred during the early hours of the morning.

According to preliminary police reports, the business owner was inside the establishment when they detected an ongoing break-in. Upon encountering the suspect attempting to gain entry, a confrontation ensued, resulting in the business owner discharging a firearm. The suspect sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
