TD Bank Branch in Southeast Ocala Robbed; Police Chase and Gunfire End in Arrests

OCALA, Florida — Drama unfolded in Southeast Ocala when a TD Bank branch fell victim to another brazen armed robbery, initiating a chaotic police chase that culminated in gunfire and the arrest of multiple suspects.

According to Ocala Police, officers responded immediately to an active robbery alarm at the TD Bank branch located on Southeast Maricamp Road. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspects had already fled the scene in a getaway vehicle. Police quickly spotted the suspect vehicle, initiating a high-speed chase through local streets.

Shots Fired During Pursuit

During the pursuit, suspects reportedly discharged firearms at pursuing officers, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Despite the immediate danger, law enforcement officers managed to execute a tactical vehicle intervention, stopping the suspects' vehicle near a busy intersection.

Multiple individuals were taken into custody at the scene of the crash. No serious injuries to bystanders or police officers were reported. The incident is currently under active investigation by Ocala police detectives, and charges including armed robbery, attempted murder of law enforcement officers, and fleeing and eluding are pending against the suspects.
