Surveillance Video Released After OKC Thunder Merchandise Stolen from Local Academy Store

Investigators with the Oklahoma City Police Department are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in a theft at a local Academy Sports + Outdoors retail store. The incident occurred in mid-July 2025 and involved the shoplifting of various Oklahoma City Thunder sports apparel and merchandise.

According to police, surveillance cameras inside the store captured the suspect collecting several items of OKC Thunder gear before exiting the premises without making any attempt to pay. The suspect was seen leaving the store area shortly after the theft. Police have released portions of the surveillance footage to local news outlets in an effort to generate leads from the community.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the video or has any information regarding this shoplifting incident is encouraged to contact the Oklahoma City Police Department's Crime Stoppers line at 405-235-7300. Tips can also be submitted online, and callers may remain completely anonymous.
