Suspect flees after armed robbery at SW OKC restaurant

OKLAHOMA CITY — Authorities are searching for an armed suspect following a robbery at a restaurant in southwest Oklahoma City on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred during regular business hours, causing alarm among staff and patrons present in the establishment.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, an unidentified individual entered the restaurant, brandished a weapon, and demanded cash from the employees at the counter. Out of fear for their safety, staff complied with the demands, handing over an undisclosed amount of money from the register.

Immediately after obtaining the cash, the suspect fled the premises on foot in an unknown direction. Officers arrived shortly after receiving the emergency call and established a perimeter around the area, but were unable to locate the suspect during an initial sweep. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the encounter.

Detectives are analyzing security footage to construct a detailed description of the suspect. Members of the community who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of the restaurant around 3:00 PM are encouraged to contact the police immediately.
