Thief Crashes Vehicle into Southwest Oklahoma City Bike Shop in Smash-and-Grab Burglary

OKLAHOMA CITY — Investigators with the Oklahoma City Police Department are seeking public assistance following a destructive "smash-and-grab" burglary at a local bicycle shop. The incident occurred at Al's Bicycles, located in the southwestern sector of the city, causing significant structural damage to the retail store.

According to surveillance video and store managers, a suspect backed a vehicle directly through the front entrance of the building. The impact shattered the large glass pane windows and compromised the security gate. Once inside the breached shop, the perpetrator quickly grabbed a high-value bicycle and loaded it into the vehicle before speeding away from the scene.

The owners of Al's Bicycles have announced a cash reward for any information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person responsible. Police are reviewing nearby security cameras and asking residents in the area to report any suspicious activity or vehicles with rear-end damage consistent with backing through a building.
