Suspects Arrested in Southwest Oklahoma City After Serial Dispensary Burglaries

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Law enforcement authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with a series of overnight burglaries targeting medical marijuana dispensaries across Southwest Oklahoma City.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded to multiple commercial alarms during the early morning hours of Saturday, January 3, 2026. Investigators determined that at least four separate dispensary locations had been burglarized in quick succession, with the suspects utilizing smash-and-grab tactics to steal cash registers, safes, and high-value cannabis products.

High-Speed Pursuit and Tactical Response

Upon arriving at one of the active crime scenes, patrol units spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspects' getaway car. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver accelerated, triggering a high-speed vehicle pursuit through southwest neighborhoods of the metro area.

The pursuit ended when the suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, attempting to hide in the darkness. To safely locate the individuals, police deployed tactical air units and drones equipped with thermal imaging. The drone surveillance successfully tracked the suspects to their hiding spots behind residential structures, allowing officers on the ground to close in and execute the arrests without further incident.

Legal Ramifications

The two suspects, whose names have not yet been released pending formal charges, were taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center. They face multiple felony charges, including second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony, felony eluding, and possession of burglary tools.

Local dispensary owners have expressed relief following the arrests, noting that retail cannabis shops have increasingly become targets for organized smash-and-grab crews in recent months.
