Northwest Oklahoma City Pawn Shop Robbed by Sledgehammer-Wielding Suspect

Police in Oklahoma City are searching for a suspect who used a sledgehammer to rob a pawn shop in the northwest quadrant of the city. The incident took place on the morning of December 27, 2025, resulting in significant property damage and the theft of valuable items.

According to the initial investigation by the Oklahoma City Police Department, the suspect approached the business and used a heavy sledgehammer to smash through security glass or entry doors, gaining access to the interior. Once inside, the individual targeted display cases, shattering them to retrieve merchandise before fleeing the scene.

Store employees and nearby witnesses reported the break-in immediately. Officers arrived at the scene to find shattered glass and evidence of a forced entry, but the suspect had already left the area. Investigators are currently reviewing security footage from the store and surrounding businesses in an effort to identify the suspect and determine the full extent of the stolen property.
