Three Texas Men Arrested in Lancaster County Following West Omaha ATM Robbery

OMAHA, Nebraska — Three men from Texas are in custody following a swift law enforcement response that tracked them from a bank robbery in Omaha to a traffic stop near Lincoln on Friday.

According to reports from the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office and local authorities, the incident began early on January 9, 2026, when suspects carried out an ATM theft in Omaha. Following the robbery, the suspects fled the scene, traveling south toward Lincoln.

Hours later, deputies in Lancaster County initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected of involvement in the crime. The stop resulted in the arrest of the three male suspects, all identified as Texas residents. Investigators believe the individuals traveled to the area specifically to target automated teller machines.

The Omaha Police Department is collaborating with Lancaster County officials to compile evidence and finalize charges related to the theft. The suspects are currently held in Lancaster County custody pending transfer back to Douglas County to face formal prosecution.
