Video shows shootout in downtown Orlando parking garage; 6 face charges

ORLANDO, Fla. — Six people are facing serious criminal charges after a shootout broke out in a downtown Orlando parking garage, causing panic in the busy commercial district. The entire altercation was captured on surveillance cameras, providing critical evidence for investigators.

The Orlando Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in a parking structure located downtown. According to investigators, a confrontation between two groups escalated rapidly, leading multiple individuals to draw firearms and exchange shots. Surveillance video showed several suspects running between parked cars and firing weapons.

Responding officers secured the area and detained several individuals fleeing the scene. Following an initial investigation and review of the video footage, detectives identified and charged six suspects with various offenses, including carrying concealed firearms, discharging weapons in public, and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire, though several vehicles in the garage sustained damage. Orlando authorities emphasized their commitment to maintaining safety in the downtown area and warned that violent behavior will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
