Port Richmond Barbershop Launches Fundraising Campaign After Devastating Break-In

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A popular local barbershop in Philadelphia's Port Richmond neighborhood has launched a GoFundMe campaign in the wake of a destructive break-in. The business is seeking community support to help cover the costs of property damage and stolen equipment.

The incident, which occurred in late August or early September, left the storefront with significant structural damage, including shattered windows and forced doors. Inside, the suspects targeted high-value tools of the trade, including professional clippers, styling equipment, and cash from the register.

For small local businesses, such incidents can be financially crippling, especially when insurance claims take time to process. The barbershop owner started the fundraising campaign to help pay for immediate repairs, replace stolen equipment, and ensure the barbers can get back to work as soon as possible.
