Phony ICE Agent Arrested After Zip-Tying and Robbing Immigrant Woman in Mayfair Home

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A frightening home invasion in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia has resulted in federal and local charges against a man who allegedly impersonated an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent to gain entry, zip-tie, and rob a resident.

According to police and prosecutors, the suspect forced his way into the victim's home on June 9, 2025. Once inside, he utilized zip-ties to restrain the female occupant before ransacking the home and stealing her personal belongings. Following an intensive investigation, authorities arrested the suspect, charging him with multiple felony offenses, including robbery, kidnapping, and impersonating a law enforcement officer.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner strongly condemned the attack, pointing to the racial dynamics of the crime. Krasner highlighted that the suspect specifically targeted an immigrant victim, exploiting fears of federal immigration enforcement to bypass home security and coerce compliance. "Impersonating law enforcement to target vulnerable members of our immigrant community is not only a crime, but a heinous act of racial exploitation," Krasner stated. The victim, though deeply shaken by the ordeal, did not sustain severe physical injuries during the robbery.
