Getaway Vehicle Abandoned in Olney After Roxborough Xfinity Store Burglary

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — Investigators are piecing together clues after an early morning burglary at an Xfinity store in Roxborough led to the recovery of an abandoned getaway vehicle in a different part of the city.

According to Philadelphia Police, the incident occurred during the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Officers responded to alarms at the Xfinity retail location in the Roxborough neighborhood, where they discovered the store had been broken into and high-value electronics had been targeted.

Shortly after the burglary was reported, police located a vehicle matching the description of the one used by the suspects. The car was found abandoned in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood, several miles away from the crime scene. Investigators believe the suspects fled the vehicle on foot after dump-parking it to avoid police detection.

Forensic teams have processed the recovered vehicle for fingerprints and DNA evidence in an effort to identify the occupants. Detectives are also reviewing security footage from both the Roxborough retail store and the Olney location where the vehicle was dumped.
