Suspect Caught on Camera Breaking into Shop at Philadelphia's Christmas Village

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Police are investigating a break-in at a temporary retail shop located within Philadelphia's popular Christmas Village. The incident, which took place in mid-December, was caught on surveillance cameras, prompting law enforcement to seek the public's assistance in identifying the suspect.

Surveillance footage shows a man approaching the temporary structure after hours. The suspect managed to force entry into the retail stall, which is part of the seasonal holiday market in Center City. Once inside, the individual ransacked the shop before fleeing the area.

Organizers of the Christmas Village expressed disappointment over the incident, noting that these local vendor stalls are run by small businesses and independent artisans who rely heavily on holiday sales. Security measures at the outdoor market are being reviewed following the break-in.
