Family Held at Gunpoint During Violent Mayfair Home Invasion

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A local family, including young children, endured a horrifying ordeal on Monday when they were held at gunpoint during a home invasion in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia.

The incident occurred around 4:00 AM on the 3200 block of Glenview Street. Police report that at least three masked suspects gained entry to the home by breaking a basement window. Once inside, the suspects, all armed with semi-automatic handguns, confronted the parents and their two children in their bedrooms. The victims were gathered into the living room and forced to wait under armed guard while the other suspects searched the house.

The suspects escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, jewelry, and several personal electronics. The family was physically unharmed but left in a state of shock. Neighboring residents expressed alarm at the boldness of the intruders, describing Mayfair as a quiet, family-friendly area where such violent events are rare.

Detectives from the Northeast Detective Division are leading the hunt for the suspects. They are checking local surveillance feeds and asking anyone with doorbell cameras on Glenview Street or adjacent blocks to review their footage from early Monday morning.
