Car Crashes into North Phoenix Gun Store, Suspects Steal Rifle

PHOENIX, Arizona — A north Phoenix gun store became the target of a brazen "smash-and-grab" burglary early Friday morning when a vehicle was driven directly through the front entrance of the business. The incident has prompted an active investigation and search for the suspects involved, according to local law enforcement.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Phoenix police responded to a burglar alarm at a firearm retail shop in the northern part of the city. Arriving officers discovered a heavily damaged storefront, with a vehicle having shattered the glass and structural framework to gain entry. According to initial reports, the perpetrators quickly targeted the store's inventory, managing to steal at least one rifle before fleeing the location.

Surveillance footage from the shop and neighboring businesses is being reviewed by investigators. Police believe multiple suspects were involved in the operation, coordinating the vehicle crash and the subsequent theft. The vehicle used in the crash was left at the scene and was later determined to have been stolen.

The owner of the gun store is working with investigators to conduct a full inventory audit and determine if any other weapons or ammunition were taken during the brief break-in.
