South Phoenix Trading Card Shop Robbed for Second Time in a Month
PHOENIX, Arizona โ Business owners of a popular trading card and collectibles shop in South Phoenix are reeling after their store was burglarized for the second time within a single month. The consecutive break-ins have resulted in thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise, focusing heavily on rare and high-value collectible card games.
According to the shop owners and Phoenix police, the latest incident occurred during the late-night hours when suspects forced their way through the storefront. The thieves targeted display cases containing rare cards, sports memorabilia, and sealed booster packs. The swift nature of the heist suggests the perpetrators may have been familiar with the store layout and the locations of the most valuable inventory.
This second robbery follows a similar break-in earlier in December, leaving the owners frustrated and calling for increased security measures in the commercial district. "It is incredibly demoralizing to be hit twice in such a short span," the store owner shared, adding that insurance premiums and repair costs are putting an immense strain on the local business.
Phoenix detectives are investigating both incidents and looking into the possibility that they were committed by the same individuals or a coordinated ring targeting collectible shops across the Valley. Anyone with information about the burglaries or who notices high-value card collections being sold under suspicious circumstances online or at local swap meets is urged to report it to the Phoenix Police Department.
