Phoenix liquor store employee attacked with pepper spray during robbery

A robbery turned violent at a local liquor store in Phoenix, Arizona, when an employee was attacked with pepper spray. The incident occurred when an unidentified individual attempted to steal merchandise from the establishment. When confronted or during the course of the theft, the suspect deployed pepper spray against the store worker, temporarily disabling them.

Following the chemical assault, the thief managed to flee the location with the stolen items. Emergency medical services were called to treat the employee for the effects of the pepper spray. The Phoenix Police Department is actively searching for the suspect and investigating security footage from the store and surrounding businesses.
