PITTSBURGH, PA โ The Pittsburgh home of Penguins star forward Evgeni Malkin was burglarized, with multiple priceless Stanley Cup championship rings reported missing, according to police and media reports.
The break-in occurred on or shortly before January 15, 2025. Investigators stated that the residence was targeted while unoccupied, and the thieves managed to make off with several highly valuable championship rings that Malkin won during his illustrious career with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Malkin, a core member of the Penguins franchise, has won three Stanley Cup titles (2009, 2016, and 2017). The stolen rings are not only of immense financial value due to their gold and diamond compositions but also represent irreplaceable historic achievements for the franchise and the player.
