Armed Robbery Reported at North Oakland Frozen Yogurt Shop

PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a frozen yogurt store at gunpoint in the North Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh on April 30, 2026.

According to investigators, the suspect entered the business, brandished a firearm, and demanded that the employee open the cash register. After securing an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled the scene on foot. KDKA Radio reported that the employee was shaken but physically unharmed during the encounter.

Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers responded to the scene and began a search of the surrounding area, but no suspects were immediately located. Detectives are reviewing security footage from the store to gather a description of the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact local authorities.
