Pittsburgh Bank Robbery Suspect Released on Non-Monetary Bond Before Similar Heist

PITTSBURGH, PA — A bank robbery investigation in Pittsburgh has raised questions about bail practices after it was revealed that the primary suspect had been released on a non-monetary bond for a near-identical crime committed in April.

The suspect is accused of entering a financial institution and demanding cash from tellers. Following an arrest for a similar heist earlier in April, the suspect was granted a non-monetary bond release. Within a short period, a subsequent robbery occurred under very similar circumstances, leading law enforcement to the same individual.
