Rapid-Succession Robberies Target Portland Metro Bars and Deli Within 30 Minutes

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland area police are searching for suspects behind a rapid series of commercial robberies that occurred within a span of just 30 minutes, targeting multiple local bars and a deli.

The coordinated crime spree took place on April 25, 2024, catching business owners and law enforcement off guard due to the speed and efficiency of the operations. According to police reports, the suspects targeted establishments in the Portland metro area, entering the venues in quick succession, demanding cash, and fleeing immediately.

The targeted venues included several bars and a local deli. In each instance, employees were confronted and ordered to hand over money from the registers. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported during the half-hour spree, though staff members were left shaken by the encounters.

Investigators are analyzing security footage from each of the crime scenes to determine if the robberies were executed by the same group. Given the timing and geographic proximity of the targets, police strongly suspect the crimes are linked. They are asking anyone with dashboard camera footage or other information from the areas of the robberies on April 25 to contact the Portland Police Bureau.
