Portland Police Investigate Series of Bar and Deli Robberies in Northeast Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. — Authorities in Portland are investigating a string of commercial robberies in the Northeast district, including a brazen heist targeting a local bar and its patrons, amid a broader regional surge in business robberies.

The investigations cover multiple incidents, including a robbery at a Northeast Portland bar where the suspect not only targeted the business itself but also robbed several customers who were inside at the time. This incident caused significant concern among local business owners and residents, who have expressed anxiety over the safety of neighborhood nightspots.

Additionally, investigators are looking into a series of rapid-succession robberies that occurred within a tight 30-minute window. During that spree, multiple bars and a deli across the Portland metro area were targeted by what police believe could be connected suspects.
