Pizza Delivery Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI — Providence police detectives are investigating an armed robbery involving a pizza delivery driver who was held up at gunpoint. The incident highlights the ongoing risks faced by mobile delivery workers operating late at night in residential neighborhoods.

According to the police report, the driver had arrived at a designated address in Providence to deliver an order. As the driver exited the vehicle and approached the destination, they were suddenly confronted by an armed individual. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the driver's money, personal items, and potentially the food delivery itself. Faced with the immediate threat of violence, the driver complied with the assailant's demands.

The suspect fled the area immediately following the confrontation.
