Wedding Day Nightmare: Queens Groom Robbed of Home and Family Business in Coordinated Theft

EAST ELMHURST, QUEENS — A Queens groom experienced a heartbreaking turn of events on his wedding day when thieves executed what appears to be a coordinated burglary, targeting both his family's residence in East Elmhurst and their food-vending business in New Jersey.

The incident took place on May 2, 2026, while the family was away attending the wedding ceremony. According to reports, the suspects targeted a warehouse in Bayonne, New Jersey, where the family stored the equipment for their food-vendor business, stealing six pushcarts essential to their livelihood. Concurrently, burglars broke into the groom's residence in East Elmhurst, Queens, ransacking the home and stealing jewelry, cash, and irreplaceable family heirlooms.

Surveillance footage from neighbors captured individuals entering the East Elmhurst home shortly after the wedding party departed.
