Suspect Arrested in Illinois for November Raleigh Bank Robbery

RALEIGH, North Carolina — A suspect wanted in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in November at a Truist branch on Avent Ferry Road in Raleigh has been apprehended in Illinois, according to police sources.

The robbery, which took place at the Truist branch located on Avent Ferry Road, prompted an active investigation by the Raleigh Police Department. Following months of tracking and coordination with out-of-state law enforcement, the suspect was located and arrested in Illinois. Extradition proceedings are expected to follow to bring the suspect back to North Carolina to face charges.
