Police Search for Suspect After Armed Robbery at Rochester Gas Station

ROCHESTER, MN — Authorities in Rochester are looking for information following an armed robbery at a local gas station, where a suspect brandished a weapon and demanded cash from the register.

The incident occurred during the late evening hours. According to the Rochester Police Department, the suspect entered the service station, approached the counter, and produced a weapon to threaten the on-duty clerk. The employee complied with the suspect's demands and handed over an undisclosed sum of money from the register.

The suspect fled the scene immediately after securing the money. Patrol officers arrived on the scene within minutes of receiving the emergency call, but a preliminary sweep of the immediate area did not locate the individual.

Detectives are currently analyzing security footage from the store's cameras and interviewing witnesses who may have been in the area. Investigators are asking the public for assistance.
