Two Arrested Following Armed Robbery on West Main Street in Rochester

ROCHESTER, NY — The Rochester Police Department has arrested two men in connection with a daring gunpoint robbery that occurred over the weekend on West Main Street. The swift response of responding officers led to the recovery of weapons and stolen property shortly after the crime was reported.

The incident unfolded when victims reported being approached by two armed individuals who demanded personal belongings at gunpoint. Following the robbery, the suspects fled on foot. RPD patrols flooded the area, locating two individuals matching the descriptions provided by the victims just blocks away from the scene.

After a brief search, both suspects were taken into custody without further incident. Officers recovered a firearm and the stolen items during the arrests. Both men face charges of first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, and other related offenses, and are awaiting arraignment in Rochester City Court.
