Olmsted County Sheriff Investigating Smash-and-Grab Burglary at Rochester-Area Restaurant

ROCHESTER, MN — The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office has launched a comprehensive investigation after a smash-and-grab burglary occurred at a restaurant located in the Rochester area.

According to authorities, the perpetrator forced entry into the establishment by breaking a window during the early morning hours, stealing cash and valuables before fleeing the scene. Deputies arrived shortly after the alarm was triggered, but the suspect had already departed.

Detectives are currently reviewing security camera footage from the restaurant and neighboring businesses in hopes of identifying the suspect. The Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about the incident or suspicious activity in the vicinity to contact local dispatch.
