Rochester Police Arrest Suspect Following Hannaford Pharmacy Robbery

A suspect is in custody following a robbery at the pharmacy located inside the Hannaford supermarket in Rochester. The quick coordination of responding police officers led to the arrest shortly after the incident took place on April 10, 2024.

According to police reports, the suspect entered the pharmacy counter area and made demands for specific prescription medications. Store employees complied with the demands for their safety, and the suspect fled the premises. Police officers arrived on-site within minutes, gathering a description of the perpetrator and launching a search of the immediate vicinity.

The suspect was located nearby and taken into custody without incident. The stolen medications were recovered, and no injuries were reported during the encounter. The individual has been charged with robbery, larceny, and possession of controlled substances, and is awaiting arraignment.
