Local Man Charged in Rochester Gas Station Robbery and Attempted Subway Holdup

A Rochester resident has been arrested and charged in connection with two separate commercial robbery incidents, including a successful gas station heist and an attempted holdup at a Subway restaurant. The incidents, which unfolded on February 24, 2026, prompted a rapid law enforcement response.

Police reports indicate that the suspect first targeted a local gas station, demanding cash from the cashier before fleeing with an undisclosed sum. Shortly thereafter, the same individual allegedly entered a nearby Subway restaurant and attempted to execute a similar robbery. However, store staff managed to alert authorities, forcing the suspect to flee empty-handed.

Using descriptions provided by employees at both locations, patrol officers tracked the suspect and apprehended him a short distance away. He faces charges of robbery, attempted robbery, and criminal threatening. He is currently being held at the county jail pending a scheduled court appearance.
